8 Day Brass Carriage Clock

My Mother inherited the above from a wealthy Aunt some years ago and in turn it was passed to me. I would estimate it to be in the region of 100 years old and it always kept perfect time and always went for 8 days.

Some time ago it stopped working and no amount of tinkering would induce it to go. As a family heirloom I would like to have it working and took to a Jewellers. He asked had it ever been cleaned ? In my Aunts care I doubt it very much - in my Mothers I am fairly certain not and in my care never. They quoted £150 for cleaning. I declined and put it back on the shelf for future consideration.

However GIBBS then came on the scene and made me think - how about a quick spray. Took the casing off and gave the works a quick spray - would you believe it - the minute the spray hit the works it started to tick and has been going ever since - keeping perfect time and going for 8 days.

Some months later still going perfectly I find it hard to believe and just goes to prove that GIBBS does all it claims to do and more and I would say to anybody whatever the reason - JUST TRY IT !!

We were introduced to GIBBS in the fall of 1999 while training at the FBI Chicago Regional Training Facility. I was firing a Thompson submachine gun and after about 20 rounds the weapon began to malfunction. Upon inspection we found the problem was a dirty weapon. One of the instructors suggested I spray the weapon with GIBBSTM Brand Lubricant. I was able to complete the exercise firing approximately 500 rounds (500RDS) without another malfunction. I've been working with weapons since 1979. Our department used many different cleaner/lubricants to give our officers a well-protected weapon until we were introduced to GIBBS. In my opinion GIBBS surpasses all the products on the market for cleaning, lubricating, and protecting surfaces inside and out.

GIBBS dries and leaves an invisible, waterproof, protected finish on the weapons. Whether the weapon is in service or stored, you won't have to worry about moisture causing rust or corrosion and affecting the weapon in any way. It doesn't jell in cold weather or is it a "dust collector."

Before I was convinced of how superior GIBBS worked, I did a test of my own. I put my GLOCKTM with a full clip in a plastic container, covered it with GIBBS and soaked it for 10 days. Then I wiped it down with a clean cloth, took it to the range and fired without any problems. After that test, I was convinced that GIBBS was the only gun care I would ever use and recommend.

If that wasn't enough, the next time I participated in a police semi-auto pistol combat course, I fired 535 RDS in four hours without a weapon malfunction! I punched the bore with GIBBS prior to firing at the start of the exercise. I was very y impressed how easily the bore came clean.

In closing, I would like to thank GIBBS for providing a superior product for law enforcement and the weapons industry. It's the one product that does it all!
