\"Boz<\/a><\/strong>Fastest Car of the Day<\/strong>:\"9706144400_dc1a4e3931_o\"<\/a>\u00a0The prize of a Gibbs Brand jacket for the fastest car of the day\u00a0went to\u00a0Neil Bennett in his\u00a0Batten’s <\/strong>Special, running an\u00a0impressive 114.56 mph. (Batten’s Special was built in 1935 as a Brooklands sports\/racer. It\u00a0features a much modified 1932 Ford\u00a0V8 chassis\u00a0and\u00a0a highly tuned V8 engine. The supercharger is a later addition. This road-legal car has continuous competition history since built. It has been in\u00a0Neil’s ownership for almost forty years.)<\/strong><\/p>\n
